Japan – Nigirimeshi

This is the traditional rice dish of Japan which is simply known as rice balls. This dish has many other names according to the filling. There are different ingredients used in making this simple but with a lot of varieties in this dish. From Kamakura to the Edo period this dish is invented. Sumurai stored these rice balls into bamboo sheath and use them at the time of war.

Italy – Saltimbocca

Saltimbocca is an Italian classic dish which is basically chicken and prosciutto wrapped together and then cooked in a sauce of wine and garlic. Saltimbocca is an Italian word and its meaning in English is “jump to the mouth”. The origin of Saltimbocca is quite a mystery. This dish is one of the best looking dish as well and really if you want to spend your money well you should try this.

Gum Gum with brown fish sauce is cooked for various reasons like traditional reasons and domestic reasons for various purposes. Traditional reasons like the celebration of the intronisation of a new head of village or when the head of family is welcoming the delegation from the head of village into his house. Gum Gum with brown fish sauce is a traditional meal that is being prepared in the West part of Cameroon.

Switzerland – Cheese Fondue

Cheese Fondue is an Swiss classic dish which is melted cheese inside of an communal pot, or fondue pot. This dish goes way back 5-6 centuries and has a big place in the Swiss history. As a way of increasing cheese consumption the Swiss Union declared this dish as the national dish of Switzerland in 1930. I recommend it to everyone to try it and have it as a side dip for other dishes because its flavor goes with every food palate.
