Japan – Mushi Manju

It is a sort of steamed cake or steamed dumpling in sweet flavors. It is also known as Japanese Confession cuisine, WAGASHI. Wagashi is the Japanese confession meal that is traditionally served with green tea. Wagashi is made up and serves as a gift for festivals, to admire the Tradition of Japan. Manju is made up of different main ingredient that is filled with the different fillings.

Japan – Takikomi Gohan

Takikomi Gohan is a bowl of Japanese rice tossed with dashi, soya sauce, broth, and can have the addition of vegetables and meat into it. This dish has a lot of varieties and different versions of the same dish by having different combinations of vegetables and meat. It can be your comfort dish or a heavy meal to be served on dinners, festivals like Japanese new year’s eve, etc.

Japan – Honey Castella

This is actually the most fluffy and spongy cake of Japanese Cuisine. This is sold in many varieties but honey glazed one is the most sold and cooked cake in Japan. This is also a kind of Japanese Confectionery delight known to be as ”WAGASHI”. The name of this cake came up in the 16th century by the Portuguese.

This dish is actually a Japanese version of dumplings, it is also known as the Japanese version of Chinese Baozi. This is popular in Japanese street food courts. It is also said that this is a savory version of Manju that is a Japanese confectionary dish.

This is Japanese-style steamed sticky rice. This special rice is cooked with vegetables and meat if you like to add on. The word OKOWA came from the Japanese word, KOWAMESHI, which means ”Hard rice”. OKOWA means in this dish like we sometimes used different varieties of rice in making this dish. However, in this dish they are not hard rice, they are cooked sticky rice

Japan – Mochi (Japanese Rice Cake)

MOCHI, RICE CAKE or Japanese rice mochi cake is the dish which has many names and tastes amazing. Mochi is the type of starch that is used in making this rice cake. This dish is eaten around the whole year but especially on new year’s eve and served as the Japanese traditional dessert.

Honeycomb caramel, caramel sponge, hokey pokey, No matter what you call this pack, we all agree that it is one of a kind. Crunchy, light, and sweet pieces of caramel plunge you back into childhood for sure. Toffee is actually a dessert or candy, the snack that is created by caramelizing the sugar with butter, some salt, flour if required.
