Introduction to the dish

While when we discuss the European cuisines they are just undefinable because of their mouthwatering taste and quick preparation of any cuisine. They are just short recipes and big fun. Buffalo Chicken wings are one of the famous and delicious cuisines of the European region. There are many names of this dish, someone says it’s buffalo wings and someone says hot chicken wings. This dish has been called as different names like in Asian countries, the Asian people called it hot wings or hot chicken wings while in European countries they called it Buffalo wings because this dish was discovered from “Buffalo’’ the city of New York that’s why this dish called as its own city name “Buffalo”. Now discussing its taste, because of hot sauce its taste is much spicier and juicy, the delightful spicy dish is also used for evening snacks. There are three phases of cooking these hot wings.

Marinate and Coating

Marinate and coating are the most important phase of Buffalo chicken wings. First, prepare the spice mixture by mixing some ingredients as I describe below in the ‘cooking procedure’, then marinate it for an hour or more than prepare the coating mixture with the help of all-purpose flour and dipping all wings one by one by into it.

Frying Buffalo wings

The next phase is deep-frying all Buffalo Chicken Wings into the hot oil in a frying pan at medium-high flame. You can fry all wings one by one or 2 to 3 at a time but noticed that all wings frying properly or from all sides until the color turns brown.

Hot Sauce

Hot sauce for Buffalo Chicken wings is also the phase of making this dish but it is additional because in many countries they use different types of sauces or tomato ketchup some people eating simple Buffalo chicken wings. In the United States of America, they use hot sauce (the method of preparation given below) to pour this hot sauce onto the prepared Chicken buffalo wings and mix them well. The taste will be spicy or sour after applying this phase.


When you are done at these 2 phases assembled both hot sauces and prepared Buffalo Chicken wings by mixing up very well as I discussed above.

Origin and History

When we point out its name the ‘Buffalo’ which is also the name of the city in New York. So it proves that it comes from New York, the city of the United States of America (USA). There are some asserts about the founding of Buffalo Chicken wings but in the history food book of food historians, that’s the Buffalo Chicken wings firstly prepared at a restaurant present in Buffalo, New York which named as “Anchor Bar” by the chef whose name is Teressa Bellissimo in 1964 according to the food historians or vloggers.

Here is also the another asserts about Buffalo Chicken wings is John Young whose home town was in China but after some time he comes to the ‘Buffalo’ and serves the pieces of proper chicken wings in town moreover he served in deep-fried Buffalo wings with tomato ketchup in 1948 according to the food historians. The popularity of Buffalo Chicken wings becomes growing with time.

For Marinating

  • Black pepper (crushed) 1 tsp
  • Chicken wings (winglets and drumettes) 1 kg
  • Grated garlic and ginger 2 tsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tsp
  • Salt 1 tsp

For Coating

  • All-purpose flour 1 ½ cup
  • Black pepper (crushed)
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Paprika 1 tsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tsp
  • Salt

For Buffalo Sauce

  • Butter ⅓ cup
  • Honey 2 tbsp
  • Hot sauce
  • Red chili powder 1 tsp

Cooking Steps

  • Take a bowl full of chicken wings (wingettes and drumettes).

  • Add 1 tsp of salt or to taste, black pepper powder, red chili powder, grated garlic, and ginger paste into the bowl.
  • Mix it well until all spices are well combined.
  • Now take a plate of all-purpose flour, add salt, black pepper powder, red chili powder, and paprika powder into the plate and mix it well.
  • This spice mixture is for coating the wings.
  • Let’s coat the wings one by one properly from all sides in flour.
  • Now for frying take a pan to add oil for frying the coated wings at medium flame.
  • Add coated wings 2 to 3 at a time into the hot oil and frying until its color turns to brown or approximately for 10 to 12 minutes at medium flame.

For Making Hot Sauce

  • Take a saucepan add butter and melt it on medium flame.
  • Then add hot spicy sauce, honey, red chili powder and stir it well until it seems like a thicken mixture.
  • Your hot chili sauce is ready for eating.

Assembling the dish

  • Now assemble the prepared chicken wings and hot sauce by putting the sauce onto the wings and mix it well.
  • Your crispy mouthwatering Buffalo Chicken wings are ready for serving in front of guests or friends.
  • Enjoy the meal.
