Pakistan, India, Bangladesh – Pudina Pratha

Prathas are the most delicious breakfast. Many people in Pakistan and India and many other Asian countries love to eat this dish. Many people eat prathas with Raita because it gives the most beautiful combination. Parathas are the most popular flatbreads in the Pakistan and India, which is made by baking or cooking whole wheat dough on a tava. There are many ways of making this dish. There are many types of parathas ,aloo paratha, pudina paratha, dall paratha and many others but in this article i have shown you the simplest way of making PUDINA PARATHA . This type of paratah is most loved by asians specially in PAKISTAN . Today i will tell you that how i make this dish.

Healthy Diet

Why many people love this dish? There is a reason behind this as it is much tasty and most nutritious dish you can figure it out by the fact that a single paratha contains :

  • 5% of proteins
  • 5% of carbohydrates
  • 9% of fats and
  • 10% of fiber

Traditional Food

Paratha is a traditional food of Pakistan,India, and other asian countries . It is liked by every one because of its taste . A paratha has its own history which makes it traditional for people living in our country .Mughals the emperors were also fond of this dish . It gets popularity in 20th century


Ingredients for Pratha

  • ½ cup of wheat flour
  • ½ tsp Turmeric powder
  • ½ tsp Chili powder
  • ¼ tsp Black powder
  • 1 cup All purpose floor
  • ½ tsp Chaat masala
  • ¼ tsp Black pepper powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin powder
  • ½ tsp Mint leaves(chopped)
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbs Ghee
  • Water as required (for kneading)

Ingredients for cucumber raita

  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 1 tbsp green chilies(chopped)
  • ½ tsp red chili powder
  • ¼ cup coriander(chopped)
  • 1 cup cucumber(chopped)
  • Salt to taste

Directions for Making Paratha

  1. First of all Take a bowl and then add wheat flour , turmeric , chaat masala, all purpose  floor, black pepper powder, mint leaves, cumin powder, ghee and salt
  2. After that Mix all the ingredients well, slowly add some water and knead smooth dough.
  3. Leave for 10 to 15 minutes.
  4. Then Divide the dough into small balls, take one ball roll it out and brush ghee on it as needed .give it a fold, fold it again from other corner to give it a triangle shape and roll it out.
  5. Finally Heat the pan, add some ghee and cook paratha from both sides until it is brown and fully cooked from both sides for about 3 to 4 minutes each side.

Directions for Making Raita

  1. Now take a bowl and In a bowl add yogurt, green chilies ,cucumber ,coriander ,red chilies and salt.
  2. Then Mix all the ingredients and your raita is ready to serve
  3. Now you can serve delicious pudina paratha with refreshing cucumber raita and enjoy the tasty meal.

Preparation time: 10 minutes

Cooking time: 15 to 20 minutes

Serving: 4-5 persons
