France, Spain – Delightful Dessert Cream Caramel/ flan

Caramel cream is the national dessert of Spain, Italy, Portugal, and France. Caramelized custard is one of the forms of sweet dessert. Caramel dessert consists of a layer of caramel sauce and caramel cream which helps it to be sweet and bitter. Caramel dessert is originated from Spain and France. However, this origin is not exact and it is unclear and unknown who the inventor of the caramel cream is.

The United Kingdom, England – Sweet Dessert Banoffee Pie

Banoffee Pie is another type of delightfully sweet dessert. It is firstly made by a British Chef whose name is Ian Dowding, who firstly discovered this dessert probably in 1971. The word Banoffee has come from two words which are Banana and Toffee

Italy – Panzanella (Bread and Tomato Salad)

Panzanella is considered to be a very important dish as it is about 500 years old. The original idea was to give people something they can easily afford for the whole week with minimum ingredients. Panzanella is an Italian word and consists of two meanings separately. This dish is considered to be originated in Tuscany Italy.

Turkey – Delicious Yaprak Dolma (Rice filling Covered in A Vine Leaf)

This is one of the yummiest light lunch in Istanbul. The specialty of this dish is the vine leaf. The rice filling is so good and when it is covered in a vine leaf it enhances the flavor of rice. The other name of it is ” Yaprak Sarma” sarma means wrapped in English. This dish is part of Turkish Aegean cuisine.

Spain – Paela De Marisco

Paela means Frying Pan and De Marisco means Seafood. In the 10th Century the production of rice in Spain was starting to increase more and more and people in that times usually add fish in the rice to make a dish. A Spanish food historian said about this dish that this dish ” symbolizes the union and heritage of two important cultures, the first one Romans which gave us the utensil and the second Arabs which brought the basic food of humanity to all parts of the world. It is considered to be the national dish of Spain.

Franch – Omelette

Omelette is a historical breakfast dish which goes way back to date 1700’s . It is basically type of egg which is fried with some butter and oil. Now people must think how small and easy dish like this could have a history but I assure you this dish has a great past. If you ever visit France please try their own version because it is there where this was first made.

Italy – Pizza

Each country has its own specialty for making pizza that is why it is so popular. There are more than 3000 variations throughout the whole world. The word Pizza came into light first in the 10th century and it was found in a Latin manuscript in the town Gaeta in Lazio Italy. However this version of Pizza was not the one which we are used to eating nowadays. The modern day pizza was created in Naples in the 18th century.

North America, Spain – Special Stuffed Capsicum

Stuffed Capsicum is a special type of vegetarian dish which is based on mice of beef, but you can also try mutton mince or chicken mince. This sweet delightful dessert (Stuffed Capsicum) is originated from Spanish Cuisines but some food historians say it is a part of Mexican Cuisine which is located in North America. In India from Indian Subcontinents’ this dish is called “Bharva Shimla Mirch”

Algerian / Turkish – Baklava

Baklava is one of the most popular desserts ever made in this world. It is basically pastry which is made by adding nuts, pistachios over the filo sheets which is then baked in the oven. This dessert goes way back to the times of the Ottoman Empire. There is a dish in the Turkish cuisine which resembles quite a lot with the Baklava and some say that it is the origin of Baklava. There are many countries which have their own versions of Baklava.

United Kingdom – Eton Mess

Eton Mess is a traditional English dessert which is the combination of strawberries , meringues and whipped cream. What makes this dessert special is the amount of flavors it gives when combined with different elements of food. Eton Mess was originated in year 1930 when it was served in the schools sock shop. As being there for quite some time I can share my experience in loving and admiring this dessert.
