Japan – Donburi Meal, Unadon

Donburi is a dish consist of rice bowl topped with grilled marinated meat. There are many varieties if meal served in Donburi and known as donburi meal. Unadon is a donburi meal in which EEL (seafood) is served in the donburi bowl with rice. EEL is topped with soya sauce based caramelized sauce known as TARE.

Japan – Beef Sukiyaki

This dish is served in Nabemono style, one bowl having all the elements together. Nabe means hotpot or cooking pot and, Mono means things. This is like a bowl of happiness in winters and a very delicious-looking dish. This dish is versatile because of the vast addition of ingredients in it.

Tempura is a fried dish in which any seafood and vegetables are dipped into the batter of eggs and flour to deep fry it. This dish has many roots from the world while having the name, origin, and cooking techniques. In 1671, the cookbook called “料理献立抄” was written and it has the recipe still used in making the tempura. Tokyo bay was made a great change in Japanese cuisine and still we have the dishes of “Tokyo style (Edo style)”. There are many variations of the dish outside Japan.

Three Cup Chicken is also known by the name, San Bei Ji. It is a very popular dish in China and Taiwan cuisine but also very popular evenly in Japan. It is known as a three-cup chicken because the used in this dish is made by a cup of three ingredients. It is served with Congee and Rice.

It is a sort of steamed cake or steamed dumpling in sweet flavors. It is also known as Japanese Confession cuisine, WAGASHI. Wagashi is the Japanese confession meal that is traditionally served with green tea. Wagashi is made up and serves as a gift for festivals, to admire the Tradition of Japan. Manju is made up of different main ingredient that is filled with the different fillings.

Satsuma-age is a Japanese fish cake that is actually a fish meat patty that is fried and served. However, the cooking procedure to make this dish is formation of surimi. Surimi is actually a paste formed of seafood meat and when mixed with white flour, then formed a solid patty. There are some stewed dishes from which surimi is dipped, including Oden and Udon.

Sushi is originated from the old tradition of Fermentation of rice. The people of Japan MUORMACHI PERIOD, ferment the rice for months and then served it with raw fish. There are different types of sushi served in worldwide with addition of different ingredients, different cooking methods, etc.
