Pakistan – Beef Seekh Kebab

Kebabs are different cooked meat dishes, with their beginnings in Center Eastern food. Numerous variations are well known around the world. In most English-speaking nations, a kebab is commonly the globally known shish kebab or shashlik. Also Beef seekh kabab is one and only dish which the whole Asians like it very much.

Taste in our country

Commonly Beef kebab is made in winter season in our country. Our people like young, child, old everyone likes its taste the is very delicious. People began to sold it mainly at middle of the day (evening).


  • Caraway Seeds – 1 tsp
  • Roasted Gram – 2 tsp
  • Cinnamon – 1 Stick
  • Poppy Seeds – 1 tsp
  • Cloves – 4-5
  • Black Pepper – 6-7
  • Cubeb – 7-8
  • Beef Mince – ½ kg
  • Ginger Garlic Paste – 2 tsp
  • Egg – 1
  • Coriander Leaves – 2 tsp
  • Raw Papaya Paste – 2 tsp
  • Green Chilies – 2
  • Onion (Fried and Crushed) – 2 tsp
  • Cardamom Powder – ½ tsp
  • Red Chili Powder – 1 tsp
  • Cumin (Roasted and Crushed) – 1tsp
  • Salt – 2 tsp or to taste
  • Dry Milk Powder 2 ½ tsp
  • Bread Slices – 2
  • Coal – 1 kg

Method of Cooking

Grinding Powder

  • First take a medium size pan add caraway seed, roasted Grams, Cinnamon, poppy seeds, cloves, black pepper and Cubeb one by one and let them roasted in a low flame.
  • Then add this mixture in a grinder and make them grind well, in fact grind into a fine powder.

Making Mince

  • Take a Chopper and add Beef Mince – ½ kg, Ginger Garlic Paste , Egg, Coriander Leaves, Raw Papaya Paste, Green Chilies, Onion (Fried and Crushed), Cardamom Powder, Red Chili Powder – 1 tsp, Cumin (Roasted and Crushed) , Salt or to taste, Dry Milk Powder , Bread Slices.
  • After adding all ingredients, chop it until well combined.
  • Take the ready mince out from the chopper and put it into a medium size bowl.
  • Refrigerate for 1 hour.

Ready To Grill The Kebabs

  • Put a little bit oil on your hand and make it like a kebab long and thin on the seekh (a thin metal long bar which we make a BBQ on it)”Grill”.
  • Take a Grill Framework and flame the coals when they heat up, put the metal bar of mince on it and give them heat from all side of kebab.
  • Cook until the color has been change to brownish (6-7 mins) after that your Beef Seekh Kebab are ready to eat.
  • Serve it with tomato Ketchup and Raita (Yogurt) or you can eat with Chapatti too.

Preparation time: 1 ½ hours – 2 hours

Cooking time: 40 – 50 minutes

Serving: 5 – 6 Persons
