Pakistan – Lahori Red Chicken Karahi

Lahori Red Chicken Karahi is one of the most famous dishes in Pakistan. Its name tells its background. This dish is originated from Lahore (a city in Pakistan) and it is well known from its spicy taste and red color. We can cook this dish with not only chicken but also with meat of different animals.



  • Pieces Of Chicken = 16
  • Lemon = 2
  • Green Chili = 4
  • Oil = 1 Cup
  • Tomato = Half Kilogram
  • Black Pepper = 1 Tablespoon
  • Cumin Seeds = Half Tablespoon
  • Ginger And Garlic Paste = 2 Tablespoon
  • Crushed Red Chili = 1 Tablespoon
  • Ginger = 2 Tablespoon
  • Salt = As Required


Take some water and add chicken pieces along with ginger, garlic and salt. Wait for some time until the water dries. Now add the given amount of tomato in it. Mix it well and let it cook. After some time add 1 cup of oil in the mixture and fry it. Let it fry until the chicken colour turns to brownish red. When the chicken fries turn the fire off and serve it onto the plate. In the end add chopped garlic and green chili as topping and your delicious dish (lahori red chicken karahi) is ready.
