Pakistan – Traditional Besan Ke Ladoo

Ladoo is sphere shaped sweet. They are probably the most popular of ladoo. Ladoo are made from flour, ghee, sugar, almonds, pistachios, walnuts etc. Ladoo is prepared for festivals like weddings, graduation etc. It is prepared by besan(chickpea flour).They are not only delicious and aromatic but also have a melt in the mouth texture. It is popular in Pakistan. The texture and taste is amazing. You can have ladoo with evening tea or you can eat this as a snack. Besan ladoo has various health benefits. There are many types of ladoo.

  • coconut ladoo
  • boondi ladoo
  • atta ladoo
  • til ladoo
  • motichur ladoo
  • badam ladoo
  • khajur ladoo


  • gram flour 2 cups
  • sugar 2 cups
  • ghee 1 cup
  • cashew 10
  • walnuts 5
  • cardamom 4
  • almonds 6
  • vanilla essence 2 drops
  • milk 2 tbsp

Method of cooking

Step 1

Grind together all the nuts and set aside.put ghee in a kadai add the gram flour and fry for 10 to 15 minutes on low flame.

Step 2

Add all the nuts and cardamom to the kadai and mix it and turn of the flame. now shaped this into walnut sized balls and garnish with silver foil and serve.
